Coronavirus and Service Delivery Update 12 January 2022

Due to the ongoing situation with the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus, most of our staff are again working from home. Some staff will be in the office, however access is strictly by appointment only.

All staff working in the office have been asked to take Lateral Flow Tests beforehand – if you are attending an appointment with us, we would ask that you do the same.

In an effort to protect our customers, staff and contractors, this may impact on our services. In particular, we will carry out home visits only in an emergency situation or to carry out essential repairs. If any of our staff or contractors do have to enter your home:

• They will be asked to carry out a lateral flow test beforehand;
• They will wear a face covering and any other protective equipment required;
• Where possible, they will ask that you stay in different room to where they are working.

We would encourage you:

• Carry out a lateral flow test, prior to the appointment;
• Wear a face covering;
• Maintain social distancing;
• Open windows to ensure ventilation throughout the property;
• Let us know if you or any member of your household has tested positive for CoVid or is showing symptoms of the virus.

National Helpline For Those Who Do Not Have Family or Community Support

A national helpline has been set up to provide essential assistance to those who don’t have a network of support but who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19.

All our Contractors have agreed to comply with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of Covid 19 “Five Steps to Safer Working Together” and have undertaken staff training to ensure they carry out the works safely. Before starting the work all contractors will be asked to provide method statement with safe system of work. As always, please ensure you should maintain a 2 metre distance from Contractors and Staff.
