The management team is made up of Manor Estates Housing Association senior staff. Together they manage the day to day operations of the Housing Association.
Chief Executive Officer
Claire has been with Manor Estates since 30th September 2019. In her role as Chief Executive Officer she is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the Association.
Former Director of Customer Services at Port of Leith Housing Association, she has a post graduate degree in Housing Studies, is a Common Purpose graduate and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. She has over 25 years’ experience of working in housing and regeneration in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Housing Management Director/Deputy Chief Executive
Carolyn has been with Manor Estates since December 2004. In her role as Housing Management Director/Deputy Chief Executive, she is responsible for leading the Housing Management Team and ensuring that tenancy services meet legislative and good practice requirements. As Deputy Chief Executive, Carolyn supports the Chief Executive in dealing with a range of HR and Governance issues.
A graduate of Edinburgh University, Carolyn is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has worked in a number of housing roles with both housing associations and local authorities. She also spent a short time with Communities Scotland, now the Scottish Housing Regulator.
Property Services Director
Amanda has been working for the Association since December 1997. In her role of Property Services Director, Amanda has responsibility for Asset Management, Procurement planning, programming the long term upgrades to our properties, including the installation of energy efficiency measures. She has worked to ensure that the majority of our properties meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) and is currently working on bringing our stock up to meet the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing (EESSH) by the 2020 milestone target and so helping to alleviate our tenants’ vulnerability to fuel poverty.
Corporate Services Director
Kathryn has been with Manor Estates since August 2007. Her role of Corporate Services Director means that she has responsibility for the Association’s Finances, ICT, Reception and Office. She previously worked with both Scottish Federation of Housing Associations and Old Town Housing Association and has 26 years’ experience in the housing movement. Kathryn is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and has a Master’s in Business Administration.
